Color (or rather, the lack of it)

Color is an interesting thing. A lack of it is another.

Today, I would like to put out a challenge: can you experiment with creating a grayscale website layout? Is it possible?

I know I was a hard-core color fan before, but grayscale monochrome layouts do have its advantages. Most of the time, it looks cleaner.

If you do choose to do so, I have some important advice for you.

Add a touch of color.

You have no idea how important this is. From a bit of blue for a link to orange headers, you have to find a way to match your monochrome with your color. This is very important.

If it is completely monochrome, your site looks boring.

With a touch of color, you liven up your site by so much. It really is quite amazing.

So that is my challenge to you. Can you try / experiment with a grayscale website layout? And if you do, will you add a touch of color?
