[Update] A Personal Disaster

Recently my home was hit with a disaster: a power surge that I had thought would never come hit my house. The damage was all-around, but most crucially, the complete work room was knocked out.

Things that were broken were my computer, my dad’s computer, the router, the modem, the VoIP module, the printer, the surge protector, and the light switch (now stuck on hi). It’s been a great personal blow to my family and because the router was knocked out I could not get Internet for many days.

I am now using the Internet from my laptop, my dad has stolen my mom’s computer (from downstairs) and we have purchased new routers, a new computer, and lots of other stuff while everything else that was broken gets fixed.

I’m incredibly sorry about this, and I understand that I lost a few client proposals in the process. However, school is quite annoying and with the great amount of extra-curricular activities I have, it was really not my fault.

I will begin resuming my normal web developing and client work within two weeks when my computer is repaired. In the meantime, I am dedicating more time to my school studies.

I plan on taking on a few more clients selectively, completing a site remodel sometime in the future, and redesigning this blog. If you have a proposal please email me as we can still talk about it, even though I won’t be able to work on it for at least two weeks.

Again, I’m sorry about all this, but I’m working through it step-by-step. I’m confident we’ll get over this.

Ha! I’m not laughing at your disaster that is really sad and annoying for you. I am laughing at how cool you are. Twelve!! Yes I am impressed!

I love your theme. I am wondering though why the Home page doesnt show in the navigation bar. That is the page with all the posts on it and its not displaying. Is that your theme or my set up thats at fault?

When you are ready I would love a reply to this.

BTW – my son says he thinks school is annoying too.
Maybe you know this famous kid (not mine) as well who is retired at 21 years old because of the money he makes using his internet marketing skills.

Take a look. I hope he inspires you. You are very talented!

Thanks very much for your kind words. I actually started web design when I was eight.

Stunning Silence doesn’t show the home page as you can just click the title of your blog in the header to get there. I will probably add an option to show the homepage in the nav bar soon as well.

School’s not annoying, but when you’re trying to get great things done, it does come in the way sometimes :D
