Affinity is Almost Here: More Info

image

Working late the night before Thanksgiving, I wanted to release Affinity on Thanksgiving Day. It featured grunge touches without losing its elegance, focusing all the attention on your content. But it’s not here.

Affinity is not complete yet. I really wanted to release it on Thanksgiving Day, and as such, many features are missing. I decided to wait until I finished those features before I released Affinity to the public.

Features to be implemented:

  • Widgets. Widgets will be implemented to appear at the footer in three columns, each can fit one widget (of course, you can put more, but that would look funny).
  • Options page. An options page to edit text, information, etc.

image

Right now, the lack of widgets is a biggie. The rest is almost complete. When I get more time, I will finish that up. Just a quick heads-up: Affinity is almost here. Don’t give up hope.

Update: Affinity’s been released (it’s now called Affyn). Check the newer entries on this blog.

I cant wait for this, at the moment I use your Stunning Silence theme, which has a couple of bugs (can someone verify this please). But it would be great, especially from the shots above.

@leegeorg07: I would love to hear about the bugs you are talking about here. Perhaps I will be able to fix them. Can you email a description of them to me?

Hi Brandon,

I love your Stunning Silence theme, but I think Affinity looks even more suitable for my soon-to-launch blog: the Silence Project. The light grunge touches evoke the subtlety of silence in a way that will complement the photos and text I plan to put up.

So how’s it going with Affinity? Any update on the revised release date?

@r-sn.com: You’re welcome to download Affyn (that’s what it is now) and try it out for yourself. The download is now available.

@Sophia: Thanks for your thoughts! I’ve released Affinity under the name Affyn. I hope it works out for your Silence Project. Thanks!
